Today my professor for digital media asked me to edit my character design assignment, Corvus (http://emmerose.deviantart.com/art/Corvus-356344651), to amp up the contrast. He said some of the detail is lost in the saturated blacks, which is true! While I was working they seemed too vibrant, so I dulled the line work down.
Apparently, he wants to submit it to a year end exhibit of the best student work! It's juried though, so it probably won't get in.
